Tire clearance and TSL question
« on: Mar 01, 2005, 05:55:27 PM »
I'm sitting on a 5" lift, 1992 pickup.  Could I fit a 35x12.50?  Where would I need to trim?

Also, how are TSL's road manners?  Noise is not an issue.  I'm wondering about snow and rain.

I thought it might hit when I turn my wheel, I don't think the tire would rub if my wheel is straight.

Ive got 35x12.5 BFG's on 15x10 wheels, 4 inches lift.  they hit the bottom rear corners of the fenders and the firewall.  I trimmed and inch or so off the fenders, and massaged the firewall wiith a hammer

If you have slid through tons of red lights maybe you need to slow your stupid ass down?  My 92 Aerostar with 221k can break the studded snow tires loose at 35 in drive when its snowy or raining too whats your point?  Id be willing to bet that Ive put more miles on swampers than you have driven.  If you dont like them dont buy them.  Get bfg's like all the rest of the sheeple.

Watch it old man! Lets see your van would wup my runners ass 33's and stock gearing on a 4 banger let me guess you got the six in that van that sounds like a fair comparison if you are a retard. And who the hell said i didn't like them i love them and i'll buy them again and again.

It was a comparison based on your stupid excuse for an argument that swampers suck on road.  You are a high school kid get used to being proven wrong.  Ill be here to do it for you.

Edit:  And no my van will not beat a runner with even 38's and stock gearing.  Try again.

Dude i can bearly get up to freeway speed and your comparing that to a van, that sounds like a shitty way to try and prove a point

Edit: My aunt had a 91 aroestar and my parents had a 94 and yes they are much faster than my runner

it has 3.90's and I doubt that the shot rear axle bearings would have helped that

Sorry sonnyboy, my 90 had 3.90's and 38's and Ill guarantee the van would not beat it.  You can try all day and still get owned on this topic.  My van has a 3.0 not the "hotrod" 4.0.

WRONG!  There is not way that you have 3.90's in your runner.  3.90's were never available in a ifs diff.  They came out in early 80's 4 speed equipped trucks only.  If your gonna try and lie your way out of this you'd better try harder than that.

Because you cant count silly!  The only ratio's that were available in 87 runners were 4.10 and 4.30 if you had an auto.  Just face the facts, your wrong get over it.

WT Its sitting on the bench in my garage right now and I already counted the teeth on it cause the pinion gear has to much play in it so i was going to put my 85 front axle 3rd on it but that had a 4:10 ratio. And people do change things sometimes you know or maybe you can't comprehend that.
