If you're gonna go up smooth hills(the same angle)at the same speed on Dusy, then you've proved a point. Otherwise you havn't proved a point.

here's some more pic on the dusy trial.

a buddy starter went bad on the trial.

on the dusy first meadow after thompson hill. Beatiful place to take a brake and some fresh air...

And here's a pic of 4xsport showing his six pack on sky dome..hahahahaaaaaaaaa

edit by BigMike: I am okay with the pictures, as I am pretty sure it's okay to be a truck width off the trail, but to prevent any issues such as the pictures ending up in the wrong hands, I've decided to remove them from your post. Thanks for sharing the rest, trail looks great!! -Mike

The toilet at Thompson is now closed. It is full up to the floor and moving it will be very unpleasant if the riser fills up. We will be digging a new hole and moving it when we can.

Actually a marmot is responsible,it went in under the floor and pushed decomposed granite in over the winter. The rangers/club are now talking about putting a second toilet at the camping area closer to the lake.

For 2013 we just got back from running dusy.  This year thompson seems lot harder and fishing is dead in most lakes.  But we still did had
fun eventhough there was no campfire stories and everyone had hit to the bunkers early.

Very cold @ night this year. The temp drops rapidly as soon as the sun sets.  And with the fire restriction this year,  make sure you have adequate cold weather sleeping bags or layers of clothing.

As bigMike mention...bring extra fuel for that V6 of yours....I never need to carry the extra jerry can.  My 3RZed 86Runner  is a gas saver.  Topping off @ Shaver, I can get thru the whole trail and all the way back to the parking garage in Merced with just that tank of gas.  Have fun on the trail and post some pics when you get back!
