auto fluid help

I cant seem to find any info on what transmission fluid to use. As I dont remember been looking cant find much. Should have kept old bottle of fluid so I know.

Anyhow I want to change the fluid on my 85 22re, with a340h. What am looking for dexron II ? I never seen it anymore, so it must be called Dexron III to use? and I fill both up through dipstick tube trans and t-case.

"automatic transmission fluid" is very generic. dexIII will do fine. I used 80-90w gear oil in my W56 manual but in your automatic if it says anywhere (like on the door or by the filler plug) use what it says
