What I want to know is how did they get all the people to disappear?
I work in SF and have never seen so few people.

Sadly it is a trick of the camera, the filming was done over several days and takes according to the article.

Lombard St is a residential street. Nothing but houses there. I'm sure that's why they couldn't do any of that there.
