I recently put a new clutch in my 85 toyota 4x4.The clutch now releases only when you just about shove the pedal through the firewall.I have bled the clutch multilple times,it has got better, but still  releases lower than i want. I could live with it ,but i can barely get it in reverse. When going into reverse it grinds bad.If you let it grind  a little then pull back into reverse it slips in without grinding. I have SEARCHED this and know that you can adjust under the dash.My problem is, HOW DO YOU GET IN THERE TO ADJUST? I have tried everything to get in there.I'm fixing to pull the dash apart to try and adjust it,any body have a better way to adjust this? I just cannot get in there,I have tried lying on my back,on my side and havent figured out how yet.I'm 6'4" that maybe part of the problem

Keep bleeding it, they are a pain to bleed, and even when it seems like you have all the air out, there is more
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

You dont need to take out the dash to adjust the threaded rod either. Make sure the pedal bracket isnt broken either. Its pretty common for toyota systems to have to go al the way to the floor, mine starts at like a inch from it

Here is a link for the 85 FSM, best to download to a flash or disc. It will show you how to adjust it.
