changing a clutch

i searched this and didnt see what i was looking for, so i figured id ask. I just bought marlins 1200lb clutch for my taco. its a 3.4l. iv never changed a clutch before and i was wondering if you guys wouldnt mind giving me a runthrough

Make sure to replace the TO bearing (throw out bearing), pilot bearing and have the flywheel face checked for cracks and resurfaced. To have the flywheel resurfaced you have to remove it and take it to an automotive machine shop.

Good luck, becareful when you remove the transmisson, it is very heavy and should be done with a tranny jack or at least two people.

lol thanks. it turns out i have those books and totally forgot about them. and the 3.4l was only in 1996-2004 i believe? my truck is a 1998

Yes sir you have the 3.4 liter. It is pretty straight forward, just take Ur time and read the Manuels! :)
