i wanna convert my hy steer arms tres to heim joints...what to use
built lastnight, crawl today...

Slolyfe

I got TG 3/4 inch chromoly hiems with 5/8 misalignment spacers. Then just drill all your hysteer arms and pitman arm to 5/8 and use grade 8 bolts.

Ruff stuff has a pretty decent deal on heims.
$69 a pair with jam nuts, spacers and bungs.

TacoRunner

All of which are strong heims so long as the injected bearing race doesnt wear out. Hint hint.

Do those heims have the same thread as the tres

I have a ram assist and it keeps twisting my tie rod loose. Rite now I have them welded at the jam nuts but I don't like the idea of that. If it breaks or something on trail I'm screwed... Any other ideas

No Heims as the same thread as a Toyota TRE.

I use to have that same problem ....buddy and I arched the tie rods against each other and it stopped coming loose. Yes I do have hydro assist.

put yer damn purse down and tighten the jam nuts better. been running hiems in my steering for the past 9 years or so and have yet to have  a jam nut come loose.  Also pro-tip dont run LH and RH joints, just run RH or LH's it will help. It sucks when you go to align it but it works

That's why I bought them. Then again it could just be a sales pitch.
