IFS rear axels
« on: Jul 25, 2002, 12:44:07 AM »
I am doing a IFS rear axle swap on my 85 toyota, but didn't realize that I need the the U bolt set up off the IFS set up to make it work.  Anyways a local boneyard has an 87 Toy, but it is 2WD, will these work on my 4WD.

I don't know for sure but I doubt they would work. 2wd trucks are spring under the axle and the leaf packs aren't as thick if I remember right. But I could be wrong. My suggestion would be to make or buy a u-bolt flip kit.

you should be able to use the 2wd u-bolt set up for a U-bolt flip but you might need new shock mounts if you still have the stock arangement
