I made these a few years back when I flopped my '94 truck in a coolie and had trouble opening the door.  I am pretty happy with them.  They go from the slider to the bumber and are braced to the shock hoop. They take hits well.  I added a little bit of steel in the front so they didn't have that goofy, hollow fenders missing look at the front.  I swaped a 4Runner body on the chassis now and I cut and rolled a new bead on the fenders to they fit all nice around the tube fenders and don't have a nasty sharp edge.  I still have to do a write up on the fender lip/bead roll.

I plan to put some amber led lights back in the recess where the park light would be so it just kind of glows amber from back in there.

That looks nice. The drawback would be adding about 6 inches in width, assuming you are driving the truck in your avatar photo. Would you just remove the outer portion of the fenders?

This rig was at MCR last year and I really like what he did...

I think it would be possible to do the above and make removable flat pieces that cover the tire when getting to the trial.

I really like that one myself, I have been looking at doing mine like H8PAVMTs. my lower fenders are about trashed but the top half is still pretty straight, I need to finish my exo anyway so I can tie it into the door hoop also.....We are lucky here in Kentucky we don't have to cover the tires or run mud flaps. 8)
