Chained to fence, you must have a heck of a problem with theft. Truck looks great. You will love that wiring, I did.

A real man builds it... Then his wife points out all that he did wrong.

So, like I said previously, I have the voltage reg, coil/igniter, charcoal canister. Looks like you got just about everything you need as far as the in-cab wiring and components. I'm assuming you have a heater unit??. I can ship the above listed parts to you, but not flat rate box. Charcoal canister is fairly large. PM me your info and we can work out a price for the parts. I can let you know tomorrow how much the shipping will be. You can then install the parts and see what else you need.

Yep, unfortunately Toyotas get ripped off all the time in the PNW...It really sucks.
I have chained my truck to my flat bed trailer at times too in hopes of slowing people down... :tantrum:

Update: As posted on another thread I found a 86' complete truck with 20r motor and as everybody thought including myself thought it would be hacked up, Well it wasn't it was the most complete and best harness I had seen in awhile and had never been hacked up so I bought it for $30 brought it home and now I'm mostly set up ready to rock n roll just need to figure out a few things (windshield wipers)

So after wiring is done then,
1: mount t-cases
2: brakes
3: fuel
4:finish bed
5:Mount 4 shocks
and other stuff like that, Then shakedown time!

Gotta love shake down time, its the light at the end of the tunnel. Ive been on that for a while now, but I think I'm finally confident, other than the slight crack in my block by the starter, all the leaks and bull crap is buttoned up. After my first trial the tranny leaked, and i replaced it, and the steering box too

Looking good buddy

Ok So Here is a picture of my 86' ignition harness

And this is my 83' ignition harness

They do not connect together because the 86' is in a 8 slot holder and the 83' is in a 6 slot holder can somebody help me figure the different colors out because they don't match? Thanks
Also cut out trans tunnel today for dual cases plan to put them in tomorrow.

And finished cutting old doors to make 1/2 doors now I just need to weld them plan to do it this weekend.

Anybody know anything about the ignition question I posted above? Hot wire ignition or splice 86' harness to old 83' Harness?

I'd splice.  It shouldn't be to hard to compare wire harness diagrams to see what needs to be wired together.

Put the Drive lines in to see where I was at today and I'm not sure at the moment What do you think? I know the front angle is sharp and needs fixed but the rear seems long and high angle? The rear is a stock short bed drive line the front is a lengthened drive line but not long enough they are both at the end of the splines and need rebuilt Thats why I am looking for suggestions of what you did with your truck.

I used a 84/85 front drive line and had it lengnthed so 3/4 to and inch of slip is showing using the stock splines. For the front used a rear shaft from the same 84/85 and had a 10 inch spline section added, relubed, and shortened so three inches show, no balance on front, and balance on rear

You'll want to run CV joint in the rear. Or does it already have one? The sharp angle will cause the u-joints to fight each other and give some bad vibes.

I'd be fine with the shafts, it's the short slip in the front that's gonna give you trouble. Build that front shaft out of square receiver tube.

Thanks for the quick responses

you said front 2 times which is your front build drive line & which is the rear?

You'll want to run CV joint in the rear. Or does it already have one? The sharp angle will cause the u-joints to fight each other and give some bad vibes.
No but I had planned on putting one in just wanted to make sure my thoughts were on the right page.

I'd be fine with the shafts, it's the short slip in the front that's gonna give you trouble. Build that front shaft out of square receiver tube.
Thats what I was thinking too.

Cage?  Better do it now.

I've tossed around the idea of a cage then dismissed it, thought about interior cage then moved on and forgot about it I'm unsure still don't know what to do cause I don't have access to a good tube bender and we used the cheapo harbor freight pipe bender to cage my brothers truck and now it looks super ghetto cause he just kind of slapped it together so unless I get a good tube bender or a good friend somewhere a long the lines I find it hard to do cause I don't want a fontucky cage job like he has.  But with all seriousness yes I would like a cage just need to find somebody or someway to bend me the metal.
