Trust me, you guys are gonna be glad to have waited.   This was something that they decided to announce, and then something else came up that needs to be finalized for clearance concerns.  BigMike said he was a little irked about it too.  But what can you do when Marlin's brain is coming up with new ideas on a daily basis.

This was an announcement, that this was something they are working on. Not a now taking orders sign, and everyone is complaining about something they have not and most likely will not buy for a while.

If it was an announcement, they shouldn't say "Coming very soon" and then take months to release it. People need this product installed on their rigs so they can wheel with confidence and have peace of mind on the trail. Again, seems a little bit ridiculous. But I will be jumping on the kit when the finally have it ready to go.

Marlin's brain came up with another idea, right after Mike posted that.  But it will be worth waiting.    Mike said he wouldn't have posted it if he knew what was going through his dad's brain.  If you knew Marlin, you would understand.  They are waiting for a fitment concern, before they go full on production and then sales.

They just want to sell the best product out there, not just cheaply made stuff.  So, just wait and chill.   :wink2:

that or they could just say nothing and then sell you the old ones, and release the new ones and then you'd be all pissed cause you just bought the old one. Right?

Sorry for all the delays guys. We are getting closer at releasing these. We've encountered a few unexpected snags and have had to make some redesigns. We initially thought they were border-line ready for release, which is why we posted this information, but alas they were not.

I should have more news later this week or next week. They should be available later this month or early August

Regards,
BigMike

I like this design.  I know it is a broken record but pricing would be nice to know.  I will keep my eyes out for the release.  I might as well build it right while the truck is apart and not have to pull it back apart for something that I should have done originally.

dang it!!!!!!!!!!! my axle is already headed to the powder coater! I really would of loved these!  :rivers:

BigMike,

Are these things completely sealed so they don't collect water?  I know the final product is going to be different, but that was what I was thinking as I looked at the pictures.

By the way, I noticed Bill in the pictures before I read the comment about him going with you.  His little one was kind of hiding behind the chair!

They can be completely sealed if welded correctly to the housing.

Ok guys!! We will have our first production run in our hands next Tues or Wed, and are now accepting pre-orders to be shipped out next Thursday!

We apologize for the crazy wait as we encountered issues not originally expected that took time to work around. Because of this, we have set an introductory price at $79 for the complete kit on our initial units. There are a lot of intricate bends which make for a complicated final product! But man oh man does it function & look great!! The design includes great features that simply can not be found on any other product, it's truly a one of a kind, and its made in USA using USA steel! :usa:

Click here for more info and to place your pre-order at the introductory price! http://www.marlincrawler.com/axle/front-axle-parts/front-axle-armor/heavy-duty-knuckle-gusset-kit

Thanks again for your patience!!

does this kit fit onto aftermarket housings. my front housing is toast and im looking to upgrade to an aftermarket housing. either diamond, or trail gear (unless i hear of a marlin or bobby long one) and i would like to use this along with the marlin inner axle seals.

this kit is stock toy axle specific im assuming? my guess is, if you want to use it on any other axle it will need to be modified! Go Diamond if you want an aftermarket axle!

Hey guys! We have an awesome update to this!

We are now including a pair of Steering Stop Inserts to beef'n up the steering stop for maximum strength.

Here is what the updated complete kit looks like:

And here is where the Steering Stop Inserts go. Simply drop and weld em in place before putting the top braces on:

Best of all, we are including these at no extra cost! What do you guys think?! :turtle:
