90 2wd SaS & 3.4 project

picked up a 90 2wd with a dead 3.0 thought i would try doin a 2wd this time. The plans are to SAS it prolly make my own leaf pack in front chevy 63's rear 85 front axle 92 rear axle.. This truck is a auto so gotta convert it to stick and im just gonna just use the v6 r150 and put a 3.4 in her. So first ive been working on suspension and then ill get to the 3.4 part..

Got v6 out and working on cutting out ifs and cleaning up frame

Got frame cleaned and front hangers mounted And just got rear axle cut off

So i learned doin a 2wd truck almost requires a complete 4wd for parts picked this up to use transmission,  pedal assembly, cluster, rear axle, rear driveline, ifs hubs for strait axle also kept 4wd gas tank incase im not happy with the 2wd one its a few gallons smaller

Today got power steering box moved and also got it rolling on all four mounted the rear springs using chevy 63 rears got get it all washed down interior and underneath then ill get the 3.4 goin in

Donar 4runner picked it up for 650$ Wish i would have got lucky and scored a elocker but it didnt have but it did have 4.10 third member worth keeping after i spent 2 hours trien to get the shafts out of the bent housing

Got the oil pan with the rear sump on.. I used the pan that was on the 3.0......wonder why theres no write up on these pans i think there every bit as good as the t-100 pan if not better

Mounted clutch master cylinder and new brake pedal assembly in... Washed interior stripped it down and pressure washed it out. Gonna start on crossover pipe and start setting motor in.. Crossover is gonna be tricky the 2wd frame is almost just like a solid axle frame and its gonna make it tight...

Finally got crossover done.. With this 2wd frame it comes up rite were the flange normally goes and had to get it tight to the motor & trans within a quarter inch wich still only left maybe 3/4 of an inch from the frame rail.. Also worked out good didnt have to add any pipe it all went together well..

Got motor all together fuel lines turned around while i had plenium off i noticed it was cracked so put a different one of them on.. But after i got it all done the hood closed without cutting it... This weakend get it wired and started..

Got it almost on the street everything is in except clutch and a flywheel...it starts rite up  and sounds great. Grabs redline real fast not have clutch and flywheel installed....i did a mild build stayed cheap on alot of things but got what i had to to make a good start definetly got do something for leaf back in the front i took a solid axle set and add a bunch of leafs but it works for now.....Need to get it driving and then ill start on bumpers and eventually work on getting dual t-cases the evap and wiring all closed up, so there is no engine light or codes i think builing a 2wd truck has tons of great options especially on front axle clearance bit the down fall is you almost need a whole 4wd truck as a donar..

It will get bumpers sliders and winch eventually just almost outta cash next biggest investment is TRD Supercharger just to give it small block power but stayin toyota
