The great thing about having a set of keys is being able to stay late and work on it when i want so i did. Im doing all the mechanical work and being as i am in the office all day i have to get stuff done when i can. Now its up to the welders to get everything put in. I did a dry assemble just so we can mock it up and check clearances tomorrow before we burn all the brackets in.





Oh and the lower links arrived man do they look good .

well i have my 1st gen 4runner. i regretted ever selling my 85. so now its redemption time. i feel your excitedness!!! Lol.

Got some work done today i had the guys do some production stuff for a bit to catch up. But axle got set up we got the steering box pushed forward the front bolt is pretty much into the body mount had to cut some holes to fit the box i didn't get any pictures just yet its only tacked into place no actual box mount made just yet.  The lower links started being put on we found some chromoly to make the upper link out of it was just sitting around so we figured why not lol. We are going in tomorrow to get some more work done. trying to get it done so i can test it next weekend if all goes to plan that is.




Well we stretched it a bit more the approach angle is going to be awesome but the wheelbase is going to be long. measured out the 37 will come to about the front of the washer fluid bottle.

Swapped the rear springs out today for some 3in ones and put a flip kit on just gotta remount the shocks and set up the bump stop correctly.

They were actually cheaper then i thought but ya they still were pretty pricey but well worth the cost.

I wouldnt know.  The 3.4 swap was awesome. Cant imagine how a supercharger would be

ya i drove a regular taco with 3.4 it was still pretty good to drive had 529's and 37's though.

It got pushed out of the shop today not done yet but just able to sit on its own weight still got lots to do but figured id post some pictures of how its sitting makes me feel like a true so cal guy now  . gonna go do some prerunning or something lol.

Thanks Guys im workin on just building it right the first time around and making it how i want i learned it the hard way on my last 4runner i spent lots of unneeded money. i got to lower it down a little today still squats in the back but i still have lots of parts back there and lots of weight to put on the front again to help it settle even. not gonna be done for this weekend as i had hoped but hopefully next weekend i can do a shake down

They are ones i found online at one point then just running DDM hid's .

Thanks everyone for the compliments i cant wait to get this done and be able to wheel again. Looking at it everyday puts one big smile on my face though that's for sure.

haha been busy lately not much work has been done  i miss my truck alot but i worked a little yesterday axle is layin on the ground inside now all the steering links are made gonna be finishing all the welding on wed or thurs and get the steering shaft to clear the shock tower assemble the axle and set her down im on a mission to make my guys stay late to finish the welding everyday this week and help me finish it before i leave for vacation next week.
