looking to put bucket seats in 1987 toyota pickup

does any one no which seats will just bolt right in to a 1987 toyota pickup. ive been looking but everything needs mounting kits. if any solutions please tell

drill a couple holes, then mount anything you want in there.....

my 85 ext cab has 86 4runner seats and holes needed to be drilled.  If it bothers you use the mounts otherwise drill a couple of holes.  I'd recommend using tapping or cutting oil if you drill. :thumbs:

thanks for the info. and the seats will still be held down well by just drilling near the other holes

I made my own brackets on a few of my rigs, it's not that hard to do. I put taco seats in a 86 truck, Camry seats in a 80 and Prelude seats in a Samurai. For the Toys I used some square tube  with tabs and the Samurai I build a complete bracket mount that the seats mounted to from the rollbar.

If you are looking at after market seats, none of them are a direct bolt-in w/o buying your specific vehicles brackets, or universal ones and drill new holes.  If you just want bucket seats, run a search, in the General 4WD Discussion or Toyota Pickup/4Runner Tech 79-95, there are several posts between the two that cover the topic at length.
'90 black X-cab mod'd 3.0, 33's/4.88's, rear ARB, custom bumpers, sliders, safari rack, etc.
'91 Blue X-cab 22re, 35's/5.29's,Truetrac front, ARB rear, dual cases, and custom Safari flatbed, bumper, interior.
