***SOLD***I just got a 9500# Mile Marker Electric Winch, which came with a recent purchase that I made. I tinkered with the winch a bit today, finding that it pulls the line in well, but does not electrically release the line out. Once, I manually flipped the switch on the housing to "OUT" from "IN" I could pull line out as needed. The winch looks as though it has a 100' X 3/8" steel winch line with a hook that is in pretty good condition. (I unrealed the entire length of the winch line and stepped it off to be more than 30 paces/yards.) As I looked at it closer, I noticed that the winch is missing one of its two tie bars, which secure together the motor end and the clutch/gear end of the winch assembly.
For me, the bottom line is: I don't have much time or interest for this thing; I am not sure of its history, or what it will take to make it work right so I am selling it, along with its steel winch line, the winch control, and its rusty, but working fairlead roller for $50 OBO with local pick up in San Francisco Bay Area. PM me your offer and provide your contact info so that we can arrange a sale. Thanks.
