Sold my old truck....and got me a 87 4runner SR5. Having acces to a lift and a torch made everything easier than the first time around. 1st sas was done with reciprocating saw and grinder.
Front end almost complete, should be done whole truck tomorrow if all goes according to plan.

old truck...

new truck/runner...

today's work...

Here's today's progress. Shop screwed me out of 1.5 hr and didn't get to drive home till 9pm.
Any how...here it is.

I apologize for the bad pictures.

We didn't get to relocate gear box till bout 4:30-5:00.

86bobbedtoy

always easier the 2nd time around

86yoter

nice i like once i get a torch and a few small parts i will  be sas my 86'.  can't wait
86' runner nothing special

yoshaleng

We didn't mount rear shocks due to the position of muffler. Front hanger was pushed up pretty far so we made healthy gussets as you can see. All I need now is a V6 Detroit locker for my HP 3rd, 12volt guys elocker wiring kit for the rear, new drive lines, t case or my 4.70 and dual case setup, wheels and 37" tires, and twin stick conversion. I'm sure there's more but that's all I can think of for now. Man, still so much till I can wheel it.

no I don't, I junked everything.

toyotech

oh well. so hows the runner coming along.

yoshaleng

I'm waiting on this guy to drop off a tcase so I can get my dual case setup going so that way I can have my drive line built. I still need a bunch of stuff to get it ready for wheeling. I'm guessing another 2500 should do it.

I finally got my 2nd case and started my dual case setup w/ 4.7 in rear case. I finally opened the the box that my MC07 XD R10 was in and I was not too happy. The craftsmanship wasn't as nice as the previous MC07 I had, I was missing hardware, and gaskets. Oh well, it's still a great unit.

freds40

Hey Ricky shoot me a note with what's missing on the MC07 and we'll get it out of here ASAP for ya. Also, if you don't mind let me know what you didn't like on the R10. We're using the same suppliers and machinists as with the standard 07s and we haven't had any issues with the craftsmanship of either.

Toyospearo

Very nice!  Perfect height.

ninja turtle

the only difference i saw was that the regular xd is more shiny on the machined surface.

freds40

Yeah some of the R10s have been tumbled after machining. That takes away the "shiny" freshly machined look.

Looks clean. Did you use blocks or add-a-leafs in the rear? I'm hoping to get rid of the 1" block on mine.

Subscribed.

Looks good, can't wait to see some meats on that rig.

btw I noticed the same thing on my R10 adapter, but I kinda liked the tumbled finish.

I was missing the nuts and gaskets....too late now. I went out to local ace hardware store during lunch hour and bought grade 10 nuts at .99 cents each. I forgot to count how many I needed so I bought 14 and spent 15.00 on nuts. That was all they had. As far as gaskets, I used Ultra Black silicone.

no blocks were used but it does have a 1" over load. if you look at the pictures, you'll see what I mean.
