I don't have any time to build another bumper yet so I built my winch plate and decided to do this for now...

yoshaleng

I mounted the control box behind the bumper and hole sawed for quick acces

Yopar

Looks great. I like stock bumpers with winches. What about a fairlead?

Thanks...Still thinking about replacing the winch cable with synthetic rope that's why I haven't welded the tabs to mount fair lead.

I used vinyle for the top, 4ft flat aluminum rod to mount top to cab, and bought d-rings from fabric store to sew at the end to pull top tight.

my e-locker/winch wiring kit from 12voltguy finally came in today! all I need is my skid plate from frontrangeoffroad to come in. so close to wheeling status.

yoshaleng

My latest edition to the truck...

half doors and decided to replace the old standard high steer with heim joint high steer kit. No more tie rods clunking everyting I turn due to hydro assist.

Just finish reading everything how you like those reconstructed chevy spring from davez? Jw how much did u move your front hanger ?

yoshaleng

I haven't really flexed it yet... going to the trails next weekend, we tacked rear hanger to the edge of frame then installed springs to find our location up front. stand chevy's are 63", these are 68" and no blocks needed like 63's to get 4" lift. I removed the 1" over load to some what even out. rear is still a weebit higher.

very soft ride that's for sure!

86yoter

so daves 63" are actually 68" but that is do to the 4" lift so since i have stock 63"s on i shouldn't have to move my hangers right? when i buy the aftermakets.

thanks and hopefully we'll see you there.

yoshaleng

Pure bad luck I tell ya...the first wheel trip and engine takes a vacation. Almost didn't make it home. I was hoping this engine would last me till tax time then I'll do the ultimate 3rz swap but things never go according to plan so rebuild it is.
Took off the head and valves were in bad shape and head was cracked in two different places.

Brand New made in Japan Nippon Racing head casting....the intake and exhaust ports have been smoothed to allow for better air flow, resuilting in more horsepower and better fuel efficiency. New ENGNBLDR 268 RV cam and New EngineTech valves to replace the old ones.
Block is bored .20 and ENGNBLDR master rebuild kit and crankshaft micropolished and Marlin 1600 HD clutch kit.

sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this, I still think you're gonna have to relocate rear hanger. That's 5" difference. Both front and rear hangers were relocated further than standard lift springs. You can't go wrong with them, they give you a rather smooth ride if you don't use the 1" over load.

and yes she's up and running...(she's no 3RZ but she purs and pulls like crazy). Now I'm counting down the days till ROUND UP!

4funrunner

motor looks good rick glad you got it running in time for the roundup  :driving:. wish i wasn't workin so i could make it. shoot me a txt cuz i lost my contacts.
