HELP NEEDED ASAP!!!
« on: Feb 21, 2005, 07:40:07 PM »
this has been a long and tedious process, and I now have most of my truck put back together.  We just spent the last few hours or so trying to get the timing right and the truck started.  The timing may still be off, but the truck fires up and runs for 10-15 seconds by itself.  after that it dies.  If I give it any gas, it dies right away.  Is this still a tming issue?  Am I missing a vacuum line??

Please help, I am so close, yet so far!!

Plug in your air flow meter!  Try that, and the TPS

Yes, it plugs into the throttle body.  From what you describe, it sounds like the air flow meter is unplugged (thats the thing on top of the air filter) or you have a massive air intake hose leak.  Make sure it's all plugged in and that the tubes connecting the air filter box to the throttle body are sealed up and connected tight.

It was the airflow, but the truck is still not running, water in the piston again, and chocolate foam under the oil cap : :maddest:
