I know I should search for this but I wouldn't know where to start...
I am swaping a '98 3RZ into my 4Runner using all of the '98 harness. I morphed the two columns together to use the '98 wheel and electical guts in the '89 4Runner dash so all that plugs in. I had to remove the keyed switch off the '98 column to make everything work. After spending a few years in a shed the plug to the keyed switch is all busted up. It doesn't really fit anywhere in the '89 dash anyway so I am planning to use a 4 position marine keyed switch...
Here is my question: The Toyota switch on the '98 harness has 6 pins and all the marine switches seem to have 4 connections. I'm sure this would work as several of the connections on the Toyota wireing must be ignition hot, etc, but what goes where?
Does anyone have this part of a factory wireing diagram or personal knowledge of what wires need what?
