Jamed transfercase shift rail HELP!!!
« on: Feb 13, 2012, 10:36:40 AM »
I have a 84 toyota pickup with 4:7 in the t-case forward shift. took it out wheelin the other day and was climing up a hill doin a little hoppin and then it sounded like it popped out of gear. i tried shifting through all the gears and every different combination. but nothing is getting to front or the back drive shaft. it feels like the tcase is stuck in Neutral. i pulled the shifter plate and i am able to move the driver side rail front to back no problem but the passenger rail wont budge. looks like its stuck all the way forward. i can see the gears spinning inside. tried rockin the tires back and forth a little. but so far no luck..... any ideas????
