I have a 82 shortbed 4WD that I stretched the wheel base around 7" on.  (moved the rear axle back)  My tires are at the very back of my wheel wells, and I'm trying to figure out if a long bed would look better after I bobbed it.  I heard that a long bed will be longer before the wheel well.   ???  Any thoughts or ideas on this??  I'm not sure if the bed mounts on different spots on the frame, but I can deal with that.   If you look at Marlins red truck on the website, you can kinda see what I'm looking for.  I'm guessing he has a longbed bobbed, on a short bed frame.   :toiletwait:

Hyena

He has the long bed bobbed on the longbed/extra cab frame.  The longbed is streched before the rear tires so you can do it.  But the bed mounts will be different.

UNBREAKABLE

You can make new bed mounts though
That's how I roll

Yeah, want something clean.  I already took my angle grinder to the bed, and opened up the wheel wells, but not sure if it looks right, and it might still hit the bottom corners in the back!
