« on: Jan 28, 2012, 10:33:29 PM »
What's up guys? I have a 1986 x-cab toyota pickup and Im looking for another bed. Want to know if anyone knows if the bed off a regular cab truck is the same size and if theres a difference between 4x4 and 2wd beds? Thanks.

for the same body style, the beds are the same from 84-88

there are long bed and short bed configurations

4wd beds had a fender flare

2wd beds may or may not have had an external bedrail, whereas the 4x4 beds in the united states had flared fenders and no external rails

There will be 5 different beds, the deluxe which is the cheapy single wall bed, the SR5/standard bed which is the double wall two wheel drive bed, the SR5 four wheel drive bed that has molded in flares that cover the larger tires (some extracab 2wd also have this bed), and the long bed for 2wd and then the flared model for 4wd. It doesn't matter if it is a Standard or extracab the 6 ft. beds are the same.
