Who doesn't love lights? I been looking at spot lights for trail fixes and looking at things under the rig or on a friends who doesn't have rock lights. Well today I was at good will just looking at tools and saw a corded spot light for $3 and thought why not. The bulb was missing which made it perfect for a upgrade to a hid. So to do the mod you open it up. Get out your drill and go to town. No really just drill a hole in the side for the wires to come in from the ballast and to the switch. I kept it on the cig. lighter plug now before you all freak out. My cig. lighter is ran with 12gauge wire to a fuse box and I put in a 20amp fuse no bigger in there. I upgraded the wiring on the light to 14 gauge to the ballast bout 8 feet. Put your h3c hid bulb in the light and have at it. I'm going to build a vented box out of cardboard and fiberglass over it to hide the ballast. You could buy a hid spotlight sure but for $80 and up I just built my own.

Price break down:
Hid kit off ebay $30 shipped make sure you get a 35watt 55watt might drawl to much and to much heat.
Spot light at good will $3, but harbor freight I think their bout $10-15 on sale.
Wire and fuse box and upgraded cig lighter $15-20 on up if you want a nice fuse block.

I had the hid bulb and ballast laying around it is a 3000k which is yellow but I will be upgrading to a 4300k white bulb soon. Heres pictures.

Looks normal from front minus bulb
