Hi everyone,
I'm from Berlin, Germany and own an 2004 Toyota Hilux KDN165L double cab pickup. Currently I'm working on this truck to make it my new daily driver and expedition/camping rig.
Up to now I'm driving a second generation Toyota RAV4 2.0 D4D with OME suspension, ASFIR skid plate, OEM rear torsten T2 diff, front multimount winch, 235/70R16 AT tires and SCION T1819 / Infinity stereo system. It has now 223000kms on the ODO and works great but for camping trips with my son and wife it has not enough cargo space. I like this SUV very much, but sometimes I'm missing a low range and a rear locker.
My dad drives an 2001 Hilux KDN170L Extra Cab and because I liked pickup trucks since I loved to watch "The Unknown Stuntman" in the late 1990s, I want to drive a pickup, a Toyota Hilux now. So I brought my used 5th generation Hilux KDN165. It's the last small size Hilux pickup generation.
My has a 2.5litre D4D turbo diesel engine, a R151F transmission, a chain driven part-time right hand drop transfer case, front A.D.D. and the Toyota rear e-locker. Recently I ordered some RADFLO custom made 2.0" mono tube shocks. It will be outfitted with a Safari Snorkel, ARB bull bar, OME springs, front Toyota Celica T23 seats and a rear RAV4 III bench seat which I allready have laying around.
But I really like the full-time 4WD of my RAV4. So I would like to put a FJ Cruiser manual transmission full-time transfer case into my Hilux. But it's a left hand drop and I need a right hand drop. I hope Marlin Crawler or anyone else can help me to build a right hand drop full-time t-case for my Hilux.
This forum I think is a good place to find some need full information and new ideas.

@toe
It drives about 160km/h (99mph) at full throttle. But I never drive so fast. We can drive here on some "autobahn" as fast as your car can go. I think that's stupid. The most time I drive about 120km/h (75mph) on the autobahn. That's fast enough for me and for the Hilux. Full consumption keeps at a reasonable level (full is very expensive here: 1.50Euro/1litre diesel = $4.40 per gallone).

:welcome:  II  :turtle:  $4.40 a gallon is not too far off where we are and headed to. You are only about 70 cents ahead of California and the new taxes in our future will put us right there with you unless someone stops them.

@Rocksurfer
Sorry, I made a misstake in my exchange rate calculation, it is:
(1.50 Euro x litre) x (3.78541178litre x gallon) + ($1.309 per Euro) = $7.43 a gallon

Hi Patrick, that is a sweet setup. I swapped in a 2LT2 and an R151f in my 85 'runner.   Like to see some pics of those rigs!

Soon I will post some pictures of the Hilux. Currently I disassemble the rig for painting (stays white but with some black sections and red pin stripes). But up to now I don't have any info about the full-time transfer case mod I want to do. I'm still hoping some one can help me on this.

Hi norcal98,
if you mean the rifle k98, I can't help you on this. I don't have or use any rifles.
