I would like to switch the position of the front drive shaft. In other words I want to take the drive shaft end that's bolted into the T-Box flip it around and bolt it into the 3rd member. Reason: As it is now the exhaust system glass pack slightly rubs against the CV joint. So if I flip the shaft around that extra 1/4 of space I gain. Will make a huge differance..

I don't think there will be a problem But just tought I would ask if it can be done with out any problems..

um i think you would be better to just get a shaft without the cv,  but it 'could' be used temporarily i guess   why is the glasspack so close to the tcase???

Yeah my first thought was to re-route the exhaust to get the glasspack back further. If your driveline is working correctly, I'd rather mess with the exhaust that is more flexible than with the drive line that is more touchy.

yea he has the 4.3 in it fred   but he should have his glasspack much further back

The glass packs exit right at the T/Box. When I first put it together.I sort of eye balled it. I have no shop  :nope: ..Simply work amoung the coconut trees :hammerhead:

I guess I could cut, weld and reroute the right side exhaust system, that's a pain in the arse..

Now that I think about it.If I did flip the drive shaft the telescoping portion would be positioned in such a way that dirt and crap will fall in and lodge itself in the shaft... :bull crap:

Ok then I re route the shaft..

as for the glass pack location. Ya they should be routed all the way to the back.or at least routed around the side of the body.  Da :pokinit: stinks .....
