im planning on putting dual cases and had a few ?'s can you use a 21 spline crawl box with a 23 spline 4.7 tcase. And do you see a need to do a 10 degree rotate. Im putting a high pinion in the front. Does the rotation effect the mount and crossmember you can use.

not sure but wouldnt the 4.7's be in your crawl box? with a stock front case? as for the 10 deg rotation that is for ground clearance it rotates the case up into your frame rails and will affect drive shaft angles . most people do this if theyre trying to completely flat belly their rig

You can use a 21 spline crawl box with a 23 spline 4.7 tcase. And many people do, you will be using a 23 spline adapter.

The rotated adapter rotates the tcase counter clock wise 10 degrees, lifting up the front drive shaft and gaining 1 3/16" of clearance. It does effect the cross members you can run. I know FROR makes crossmembers for a clocked adapter, i am personally running theirs now and have been very happy with it. Another thing to consider is your shifter will be angled on the back case if you use a regular shifter, there are twin sticks built for clocked adapters, or triple shifter is also an option. The tcase and driveline clearance is a big bonus and i do recommend getting a clocked adapter.

As for what yotaneck13 said, 4.7 is not in the crawl box.

Thanks for the great info daniresch. what are your thoughts on the triple shifter ide like to have a small console between my bucket seats. my 88 reg cab needs all the room i can get inside.

daniresch

I have a reg cab as well with a bench seat, the triple shifter clears everything with ease. I am running Davez triple shifter with no problems, along with a clocked adapter. Very happy with both products. I have pictures of both on my build.

It looks as though we are building the same rig. I have my sas kit coming from dave. Ill bring up some pics when i get a few more posts and farther along. Thanks for the great info. I really like the looks of that crossmember. Dumb question but who is FROR?
