ifs gear box

I was wondering when I do my sas swap on my 87 4runner will I need to do anything with my steering gear box like I did with my 79 truck? I'm taking my 6" lift off of my79 and putting everything under the 4runner.

you might have to move it forward a little bit but thats it

Yes it has hi steer

It will depend on if you are going to move your axle forward, use longer springs or use the standard pin location, as you move things around the hi steer will hit as it travels up and down. If you look at most conversions they have moved the steering box as far forward as possible in order to keep the hi steer from hitting.
