~93 SASd Runner on 37s~

Not much goin on... Got my heads bolted up to the block.. waiting on the timing belt kit..

nice, nice. the 3.0s are decent motors they just have the HG problem
and after 100,000 the water pumps and tbelt and idlers should be changed
most people wait till they jump time,

oh and while its out you should do rods and mains,

I had the head milled and pressure checked.  The motor was a good runner and was running fine when pulled.  has 151k ... heads were warped and looks like timing belt/water pump were recently done so i will reuse the water pump but its getting new idlers and belt.. havent checked the oil pump yet..

Heads checked out with 90%+ pressure in each chamber..  Im not messing with the lower end just because if its not broke i dont fix it...lol.. When it goes im throwin in a ford v6 something all aluminum.. but thats later on

Yea well like i said it was a perfectly good running motor when i pulled it so i figured id do the head gaskets and clean up the heads but the cylinders looked great , still had all the cross hatching ..  So far i only have like $224 into the motor.  Add another $75 for the timing belt kit so for $300 it was basically cheap insurance for now..

Alright back at it in full Force!!

Got the old motor out
rear end is all setup with leafs
front is cut off and grinding in progress

Im not running 39.5s anymore sold em and got a set of lightly used 37x14.00x17 iroks

Hopefully tm i will be building the front x-member and maybe mount my gas tank back up.

drop in the motor
finish grinding down the frame
build the spring hanger
finish the sas
hang my gas tank
shocks all around
and i still need to order my steering for the 44

My wifes in reno so its just me and my daughter .. kinda hard to get anything done.. hoping to build my spring pack for the front today.. i got rears, waggys, and some 4" lift springs im gonna mix up and put together.. My front spring hanger will give me 3.5" of lift and move the axle about 4" forward.

That housing is taco width btw.. My front will finish out at 62.5" wms-wms, rear will be around 61" wms-wms..so 3/4" wider in front on ea side should work out tits!  Rims are 2.5" bs so it will have a wide stance but not super wide..
Got my spring packs built.. workin on the spring hanger..All said n done axle will be pushed around 5" forward ..
