montero to toy cases ?

i have a 1991 montero with an Aisin Warner A44DL 4 speed automatic transmission is it posible to adapt toyota cases to the back of this thing or am i waisting my time. I was thinking of swaping the drive train but if i can do this i'll keep the 3.0 v6 thats in it.
