Howdy folks new guy from Kentucky
« on: Oct 09, 2011, 10:40:56 AM »
Been lurkin about and reading some, Thought I'd join in and chat a bit.

My rig is a 1984 Xtra cab, sitting on 63" chevy leafs rear stock yota rears in the front, IFS rear with 5.29s and spartan locker and disc brake upgrade, 1985 front axle with 5.29s and a spartan TG hysteer and IFS brakes. Running 35"BFG KM2s on steel wheels, Jasper motor in it low miles with a weber progressive and header. Back half of the exo cage is installed saving dollars for the forward half and winch bumper, rest of the drive train is pretty much stock right now.  :driving:

Plans are to install a doubler, better shocks, And moly birfields, Hydraulic assist is on the list also. We'll have to see after that prolly up grade as I break lol.

I broke it this weekend climbing some sandstone walls and ledges.....Snapped the lower leaf on the left front and it fell out on the trail, And busted the front output bearing in the T case, The carrier bearing is making a strange noise and my power steering box started leaking like crazy. :o It was a great weekend

I am kinda new to rock crawling and 4x4 toyotas but have been offroading most of my 50 years in buggies or on bikes and ATVs, I love the woods, I'll be around learning and askin stuff.
