4.56 gears and 42s?

So I am going to be running 42s and I have tons with 4.56 gears with a 300+hp sbc.  will it work.  I do have a 350+ to one crawl ratio but it is also a dd?

Automatic? At 300+ HP, you're certain to have 350+ ft-lbs torque which seems waaaaay more than you'd ever need to comfortable daily drive 42s with 4.56 diff gears. What are the alternative gear ratios you'd consider?

4l80e auto is what i was concidering and i have a 4 speed atlas with the 10:1 low so crawling shouldnt be an issue.  I have never had a rig like that and didnt know if I should concider something deeper for street use.  I was thinking I might need 4.88s or some thick cut 5.13s but its sounding like maybe not?

you should be fine running that combo with 456 gears you'll have the power with the sbc try it out and see if you like it
