« on: Sep 21, 2011, 12:58:22 PM »
so the daughter is going to be driving in about a year and a half so i figured i would pick up a project and get working now since I am not home much. she said she wanted a jeep   :rivers:  so thats what i got  :smooch:

picked this rig up for cheap, needs lots of work, the PO did some crappy welding and hack job repairs.

going to do an SOA first with stock springs. the body is in bad shape so i might be getting full armor and roll cage from poison spyder (maybe). dont want to dump to much money into it, just get it streetable and safe.

luckily the PO did a SYE allready so I dont need to worry about it. Ive been looking for info on doing a shackle reversal but haven't found anything yet.
Im also looking in to the steering, trying to find different options for the D30.

just priced out smittybilt XRC front/rear flared fenders and the side steps on Amazon. Its $700 cheaper than poison spyder. Now the question is how good of quality is it? would it be worth paying the more money for PS gear? :dunno:

Yeah I agree. The only thing that sucks is its China made! But, I cant justify spending over $700 more for then needed.

I "could" do it myself but I just dont have the time! I hate! buying Chinese made product, but there is no way I could pay 700 dollars more for something that is "virtually" the same.

The front is 4 leaf and rear 5 leaf. not sure what brand, bought them from a jeep parts store. I wanted to get stock replacements because doing the SOA will lift it a bunch allready.
