how do i know if my knuckles are aligned if i do not have a alignment tool on my Toyota axle  :dunno:

I would like to know the answer to this myself....Them tools are pricey.

I've been told that as long as you use the same amount of shims, top and bottom, it should be close. That's how mine is setup and my seals are holding great. I don't plan to use the tools

yeah  that's what i did i looks to be aligned ill see if my berfields are grinding in the knuckle when i turn if so then i need to fix it wonder how much toyota charges to have it done

On mine I just put the same number back on top and added shims into the bottom until the slack was gone. I think it was roughly the same number of shims top and bottom though, however I dont remember how thick each shim was.

You will never know unless you properly align it, there are other methods without the factory tool.

Do they leak now?
