I am selling my Toyota Diesel 4x4 pickup truck. It has been my daily driver for 2 yrs. It is no longer practical for me since I now have a family. A car seat takes up a lot of room in the cab :) Will consider a trade for a Subaru Impreza.

The truck is a 1987 white standard cab 4x4 with a matching fiberglass camper shell.
The engine is a 1995 Toyota 2LT 4 cylinder turbo diesel.

Here are the details:

1995 2LT engine. Approximately 85,000 miles on it. It came from Japan as a half-cut. I replaced the original 22r engine with this one.

The truck has about 167,000 miles on it.

I have installed a Greasecar WVO kit in the truck. I also have an on board filtration setup with a Racor Marine Diesel filter. It can drive on 100% vegetable oil.

Some of the new parts:
Timing belt
Front and Rear Main Seal
Oil pan
K&N Air filter
Clutch
Rotors, Pads, Master Cylinder
Fuel Lines
Temp gauge
vegie oil gauges
Wheels
Rebuilt starter
new wiring and relays
etc

I have it set up with a manual glow plug switch and have replaced the glow plug relay and starter relay with easier to find ford relays.

It does have a small oil leak on the lower front side of the engine. It does not change the level of oil on the dipstick till after 4000 miles and then I have to add less than an 1/8 of a qt of oil.

The body is in decent shape. It does have some minor dents and dings. The bed has some rust above the rear wheels.

It has a CA diesel title.

I have about $8500 into the truck. I know I will not get that back. Anyone interested at $4000-$6000? you can reach me at [email protected]

was registration a problem  did you have to go thru c.a.r.b.

Not a problem at all. I walked into the DMV they walked out with me and verified that the truck had a diesel in it. Then they switched it in the computer and I walked out with a diesel title...It was one of the easiest trips to the DMV I have ever had.
