Help me choose some parts.
« on: Sep 11, 2011, 02:32:39 PM »
Ive got Chevy 63s ready to go in.  Currently have a rough country lift.  Im gonna do the rear this coming weekend and then do the RUF in a few weeks.  Heres what I was planning on ordering for the Rear:

Then I need help picking shocks.  I want to keep the truck low, 3 inch lift or less with 35-36s.  But I want it super flexy.  From what Ive seen 14 inch seems standard.  What do you think? Bilstien 5150s?

thanks for the help.

Those rear shock hoops are a waste of money. all you need it a piece or round tube like 1 1/4 thick and cut the stock upper shock mount off and weld them on to the tube and weld the tube to the frame and you have your $60 rear hoop minus shipping.. 5150's are good shocks i would use them.

i wouldnt mount your rear shock like that . mount how they are stock , you will need to make new mounts. Mounting them the stock way helps control axle wrap and body roll . use 12 inch bilstiens and set them with about 5 inches of the rod showing.
