I'll start this thread off by stating that I've read what seems to be every thread on here and Pirate about using the rears up front.  It seems like everybody has a little different hybrid pack going.  I don't have tons of extra leafs laying around.  Here's the question, can I make a good pack out of stock 85 rears and some rears out of a 2wd?  I think I can get my hands on some more rear 4wd springs if I need them from the junkyard.

Also, I really didn't find very much stuff on the mazda rear springs.  Can anybody give me some advice on rear springs.  I have read a ton on the chevies but I'm not real impressed with them.  I've also heard F-150 springs, Bronco springs, stuff like that.

Thanks in advance for the replys  :usa:

Hey dude,  did you check out roger browns web site, he has a pretty detailed write up on his rears up front and from the picks they flex figgen awsome.  he almost max's out 18"s of shock travle.

Rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Mazda's suck.  Rears up front are killer.  Id use the 2x rear springs as the main pack and add 4x leafs to that.  In the rear Id use broncoII or ranger springs.  Just remember it'll take some tweaking to get everything to your liking but You'll be very impressed with the results.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Do you have any specs on the ranger or BroncoII springs?  Are they 2.5 or 3 inches wide?  How long are they and how much am I going to have to move the spring hangers?

Thanks Joe for the link, I've been to his site many times and have seen his spring pack stuff.  Do you still have access to those 2wd springs?

Anybody else running Roger Brown's rears up front setup?  How does it flex?
