Come join us on September 3rd and 4th 2011 for our annual Cantina for the Con taco feed and prize drawing at Loon Lake California in the Eldorado National Forest (ENF) and El Dorado County (EDC)
Off Highway 50 just east of Placerville CA, is the Crystal Basin portion of ENF where the Rubicon Trail lies, which was one of the first wagon crossings of the Sierra Nevada, and the event started by a few dedicated individuals in 2005 to help save the trail they love so much.
Since 2009, Cantina has been hosted directly by the Rubicon Trail Foundation (RTF, a 501c.3 organization). Cantina for the Con 2010 was an astounding success! More than 2,500 individuals attended and ate countless tacos and raised more than $30,000 for the Rubicon Trail Foundation. We also saw an unprecedented raffle totaling over $20,000 worth of prizes.. We are excited to see the involvement in this event grow year by year, both by the community and vendors.
Vendor row grew once again and this year we will be joined by 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers, Trail Gear, Gen-Right Off Road, Davez Off-Road Products, Marlin Crawler, Ruff Stuff, Poly Performance, Jeepers Jamboree and many others!!
Our Friends of the Rubicon (FOTR) clubs and individuals continue to create an environment that have proved to be a resounding success: This Dysfunctional Organization (TDO), California Creepers Club, Pirates of the Rubicon, Mountain Transit Authority (MTA), Rock & Roll 4x4 Club, Rock Zombies, and the Rubicon Rockheads.
We are very thankful to all of our vendors, trail users and clubs for making the Cantina for the Con the Rubicon's biggest fund raising event ever!
Be involved this year!

( off early '80s vette. ) The heads are fresh from the machine shop, still in plastic. Triple angle grind, teflon seals, and bronze guides. I had them for a truck which was stolen before I could install. Are these something that could be donated to the raffle for the Cantina?
