Hi there!  Glad to join your forum!  Hope to learn lots!  Wonder if anyone can help?  I purchased a factory clinometer/altimeter gauge for my '89 4Runner and now need to install it.  Anybody done this before?  If anyone has any ideas or instructions laying around on how to install one of these units let me know, it would be much appreciated!!

Ive taken mine off before. All it does is mount to a bracket that is mounted on the dash pad. then a hole in the pad for the wire that goes to the dash lights. If i was an option on your year there should be the conector in your harness.

I know this post is old but I figured I would post up for any body else that used this topic.

Today I went to a local pick a part and to my surprise I found an 86 4Runner with one in it and I grabbed it.  it has 4 bolts that hold it to the dash and a 1" hole for the wires.  If you were to install one im sure you could put it in any dash.  just 4 small holes for the mounting bolts and 1 larger hole for the wires.  There were only 2 wires and im sure they are just for the lighting.  they were black and black with a white stripe.  the wires come up from down by the radio wires and if you cant find them you could just run a positive and negative wire for the lights.

The holes and the the wires are there even in a pickup truck.
