 Hey guys just want to introduce myself  :wave:  and see there was anyone else in the area.(Northern Va) That i could maybe mooch help off of.  :talkingn:  I recently got a 82 Toyota pickup 4x4 with 61k on it. I have had a few problem that i'm still working on but nothing i hope that i can't handle. Also I have got some 31x10.5 and cragar 15x8 to put on hopefully i will have some pics to put up soon.

dang twisty,  60K  on a toyota is not even broke in,  probably 160,or even 260  whats the seats look like, if they look like new then it may be 60K

Hey Glen i was the one that talked to you on IM about the wheels. Anyway the guy that owned the truck before was a older gentleman with health problems. When he died his son in law got the truck but only drove it alittle. So i'm pretty sure the 60k is real. The seat aren't cracked or ripped and nothing else on the truck has any real wear on it besides the tires.

 :drooling:  :usa: dude you found the HOLY GRAIL of toy trucks  :ladys-man: look under the hood, probably on the pass side fender and look for a 2X3 metal  tag,  you should have either a L-50 or L52 5 speed,   also look for your axle codes, G292, G102 something like that,  that will give you the gear ratio of the diffs

Well i finally got around the checking after getting the electric problem firgured out. The Trans was L52 and the only G number i found was G082. I also got my 15x8s in so once i get my tires on i will take some pics.

pot of gold indeed,  i have never actually seen one with the G082 code, those are 4.11 gears,  most all have the G292- 4.10 gears :headscratch:

G072=3.90's usually in 80 models
G082= rare :headscratch: the "TWISTYSpecial"
G102= 4.37's  ME and most 79 models with the L43
G142or144 4.88's wish i could find one
G252 = 4.56  saw one in a 90ish runner but the chic slap refused to let me have them :down:

G282  common in automatic 4.30's
G292,  most common 4.10's
T382= my 80 celica   3.43 ratio 6.7"ringgear
F292= ifs front axle 4.10 ratio 7.5"ringgear  or 2wd truck 7.5 ring gear

G= ring gear size
1st and 2nd digit   29=ratio
last digit  2 or 4 = 4cyl or v6

Thanks Glen for checking the gear ratio for me i was wondering what it was. Once i finish up get the exhaust on and the new tires/wheels i will get some pics. Well i guess i will take it before the exhaust is on.

Yeah i just hope i don't blow it up. I have a bad habit of being kinda ruff on my vehicles. But i hope if i take care of the matainence it will last me awhile.
