Topic: G52, g54 tranny difference

does anyone know the differences in these tranny's? All I know is mine is a forward shift tranny with both shifters in the transmission housing. Just want to make sure before I get a new one from marlin. thanks

other than that it should be the same bolt pattern on the bell housings and to the transfer case ?

Externally they are the same, it would probably be hard to tell the difference between the two just by looking at them.  The real difference is the bearings inside.

When I had my G52 Trans rebuilt from Marlin, I upgraded it to G54 internals since I kept breaking transmissions.  The MC trans has been in there for a few years now running strong, Angelo is amazing with transmissions.   Call them up and talk to them when placing your order, tell them what you are wanting to do, they are more than willing to help.

thanks for the help, im on my 4th tranny in 2 months. I either brake the linkages or crack the housing the linkages go through.
