Got a wierd grinding noise coming from front hub area, I have already checked ball joints and bearings. Those seem to be ok, it's intermittent when driving feels like something is rubbing and slowing the rotation of the wheel and make a low picthed noise, any one out there experience this?

That's the next step but, this is my daily driver and need this thing running to get back and forth to work. Has manual locking hub's on it already and i've heard about some brass bushings in the front that tend to wear out but im not sure. noise is like a brake being applied but my brake's are functioning normally......

Id say a frozen caliper or a hubs stuck locked. if its pulling to one side constantly Id say a messed up hub. If it pulls while braking, sticky caliper

Wierd thing is that it does'nt pull to either side! braking is normal, sounds like crunching bearing. ive had this thing up on a rack and wheel will spin smoothly no sound and wobble, this is frustrating :maddest:

HAppen when you turn sharp? Try driving with the hubs off, and is it ADD axle?
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

If it only happens when turning then it would be the steering bumpstop. Normally there is a plastic cap over the stop but they don't last long if you ever use it offroad. Sounds horrible but it is just metal to metal sliding against each other.

Took apart hubs and rotors yesterday after work, cleaned and regreased bearing's and hubs, put it all back together and drove runner home! Run's alot smoother than before and all noise and vibration is gone. look's like it just needed to be cleaned out and regreased all ok for now..... :eyebrow:
