Or if it's going to fail, fail at home after the smog test is complete....

I was putting my truck back to pre-smog test specs (advanced timing, low idle speed) when I noticed that the tach wasn't working.
Shut the engine off, and restarted it.
It was fine.

Check engine codes, and it's flashing 'ignition signal'
Start engine, no tach again...... then engine shuts off and won't restart.

Bypass MSD ignition (with those jumper cables at the coil) and all is fine with the stock ignition.

I really hope it's the little coil like adaptor you need with toyota ignitions with a MSD, and not the MSD itself...........

Now to find an old coil, or something I can use as a coil for some testing.
