WELL THIS HAS BEEN A LONG ON GOING PROCESS. BACK IN THE MIDDLE OF 2007 I  FOUND AN 85 STD CAB EFI TRUCK THAT THE GUY WANTED $1200.00. I CALLED SET A TIME TO CHECK IT OUT. I SHOW UP AND THE GUY ANSWER'S THE DOOR AND SAYS HEY I'LL TAKE $800.00 FOR IT IF YOU WANT IT . IT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A NEW ENGINE. AND HE DIDN'T KNOW MUCH MORE AN THE TRUCK HAD A SMITTY BUILT INTERIOR CAGE BUT IT HAD BEEN ROLLED IN IT'S LIFE  :smack: I CHECKED IT OUT AND ALL THE PARTS WHERE THERE. SO I PICKED IT UP

I GOT IT HOME AND TOOK IT DOWN TO THE FRAME AND STARTED THINKING ABOUT WHAT I WANTED. A LOCAL GUY SOLD ME AN 87 EXTRA CAB TRUCK COMPLETE FOR $20.00 WITH TITLE  SO THE WIFE AND I SWAPPED THE CAB AND REAR END OVER TO THE STD CAB FRAME. NOW THE STD CAB WAS AN SR5 SO I SWAPPED THE WIRING HARNESS TOO.BUILT A BED THAT IS THE WIDTH OF THE CAB AND TAPPERS TO THE WIDTH OF THE FRAME. AS I WAS SWAPPING THE REAR END TO THE WIDER 87 REAR I FOUND OUT THAT THE 85 HAD 5:29 GEARS  OH HAPPY DAY ONE LAST THING TO MESS WITH. AND  THE GEARS IN THE REAR WHERE JUNK SO I ORDERED MORE.I REBUILT THE WHOLE FRONT END SWAPPED IN THE IFS HUBS FROM THE 87 AND BOUGHT V-6 CALIPERS AND LC ROTORS, INSTALLED A DUAL DIAPHRAM BOOSTER AND PUT IN A GM MASTER KNOWING ONE DAY IN THE FUTURE I WOULD HAVE 1 TON'S UNDER IT. SWAPPED IN 7 LEAF WAGGY SPRINGS IN THE FRONT AND WELDED IN A NEW FRONT SPRING MOUNT ( FACTORY ONE WAS FAWKED FROM THE ROLL). THIS IS HOW SHE LOOKED WHEN IT WAS DONE

I COULDN'T HANDLE THE COLOR'S SO I PAINTED IT IN MY DIRT DRIVE WAY

AND HERE IS THE FINISHED PRODUCT

THEN I TOOK IT OUT WHEELING
NOTE THE NO MORE STINGER. DAMN THING WOULD ALWAYS HANG UP ON STUFF

I ADDED DUAL CASES WITH BOBBY LONG OUTPUT, TRIPLE DRILLED FLANGES 4.7 MARLIN GEAR'S IN THE REAR.
THEN I NEEDED TO CHANGE THE REAR SPRING'S WAY TO STIFF. SO I WENT TO SOME F-150'S AND LOVE THEM WHILE I WAS AT IT I ADDED REAR DISC BRAKES  :eyebrow:
HERE IS A SHOT OF THE TESTING

NOTE THE REAR TIRE STUFFED INTO THE BED

SO NOW I CUT THE HELL OUT OF THE BED

after cutting the hell out of the bed the rear tire cleared much better. i took it to K.O.H. 2010 and wasn't happy with it so i drug it home in hopes to find 1 ton axles. one night when i could sleep and around 2:00 A.M. i was on my phone cruzing Craigslist and found a guy parting out a 1 ton chevy 4x4 that had just been posted. i sent an e-mail and instantly got a response. that he wanted $300.00 for the Dana 60 front  so i jumped on it. the next day i was a proud owner on that 60. i tore it down and narrowed the long side 3", rebuilt it and waited for a rear. i came across a 14 bolt with brand new gear's,detroit and Ballistic cover for basicly free  :yikes: so i snagged that up. geared the front to match and added a spool ( i know but money tells when what to run) i traded some stuff for cromo stubs, yukon super joint's and an install kit. while i was there i added C&M machine bronze upper bushing's in the king pins. ordered my yokes to go to toyota drivelines . wfo cross over steering stuff and started making it happen....here are a few pics

SHE'S UNDER !!
