Good machine shop in Clovis
« on: Jul 12, 2011, 06:26:58 PM »
Hey everyone I just got my cylinder head back from Dave Hiatt Machine in Clovis and I am very pleased with the results. They are very knowledgeable, fast, and polite. For my 22re head it was $30 to pressure test $35 to resurface, and $100 for the valve job. I will be taking all of my stuff to Ron at Dave Hiatt from now on.

This is correct. It would be fun to go into the details, but this isn't about Marlin so I'll sum up that after Marlin got his degree from Pacific Union College, he got his first job at an Adventist private school which he left after 2 years to go work for Dave at Dave Hiatt Machine. He worked there for the better part of a decade before leaving to start his own automotive garage then-called Marlin's Automotive. Man the stories I could talk about with Marlin, it'd make a really fun thread for sure!! This is actually a pretty damn fine idea

We used Dave Hiatt Machine for over 20 years, they do excellent top quality work. We only recommend 2 machine shops in the Fresno area: Dave Hiatt Machine for when you really want it done right, or Clovis Machine for when you want to save some $$ but still get great service and results.

When I blew the head gasket on my 3RZ after wasting time & money with that retarded TRD Supercharger, I had Dave Hiatt Machine do a valve job and resurface my head. They were my first choice.

Regards,
BigMike
