what do yall think about triples? im thinking about doing it with 2.28 in the front 2 and 4.7 in the rear. i know bigmike is running that with his single cab short bed as is mine and was wondering if anybody else was and if they could give me some what for about it. i know the driveshafts will need to be changed and i will be building a new tranny tunnel and new crossmember but is there any other mods i have to worry about since my drivetrain will be so long? i drive it everyday and mainly concerned about the angle of my rear driveshaft. i know i will rotate my axle up but will the angle at the tc be too much? thanks for any advice

I guess it would have kind of a cool factor, but I think triples would be overkill for your application. I think Marlin runs the same triples you are talking about (2.28x4.7x4.7) and BigMike runs (2.28x2.28x4.7).

If you stick with a dual ultimate setup (2.28x4.7) that should work well

i know it would probably be a little overkill and i wouldnt need it but i got three cases and just figure why not? with 2.28x2.28x4.7 i would have alot more options than just the dual ultimate and it would just be kind of cool. ive heard that i will have to modify my crossmember that is holding up my gastank, does anybody know anything about this? im just looking for any advice from anyone that have done this and what problems they might have ran into before i decide. thanks again

yeah no sense in going triples if you really want them do it, but dual ultimate is more than plenty.

do it, I want to go trips or ad 4.7's to the front case, mainly for the snow running I like to do, but in your case, if you have not yet installed any, might as well go trips!!
