I'm new to Toyotas, but not new to their capabilities, I am from Bakersfield, CA  I sold my Jeep Cherokee a while back because of gas prices, bought a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse, I felt the need to wheel, so I sold it and bought a 82 Toyota truck, I am not sure of the details but is suppose to have  :turtle: axles, was told 4:56 gears.  I bought a Lock Rite to put up front, currently it is sitting on 33's

Here is a pic of my XJ I had, Very capable Rig:

Here is a few pics of my Yota:

this is the way it sits now, stay tuned for updates!!!   :usa: :usa: :usa:

Just a little update on my Toyota
When I bought it, it was making a horible noice from the transmission, I kinda felt likeit was a bearing noise, since this is my first toyota I did some research, found out it was a common problem for my 5 speed, I took it to a couple tranny shops, both said it will make that noise forever and never leave me stranded, so the next day I had to go to Visalia to pick up my daughter, she hadn't seen the truck yet so I took it:

This picture was taken heading north on the 99, north of Earlimart:

had it towed back to Bakersfield, pulled the tranny:

replaced the trans and know I am good to go!!  :driving:  :usa:

I really didn'like the way the lights were set up, so I got some LED's from Gen-Rite

Those of you wondering why I have a orange door, right after I got the truck, I took it on a night run on a local trail(Freeway Ridge) to see ho it does exactly how I bought it, it did ok, after the run I was driving down a dirt road(Rancharia Rd), since there was no weight on the back end I was sliding on every turn, it was fun till I was sliding and cought traction and spun me the other way and up the side of a hill, then I came to a stop, I would say more than a 45 degree angle, when I came to a stop I said "aww man" then the truck flopped onto its side, only took 3 of us to get it back onto its tires.

The truck runs really strong, I have a lock rite for the front I still need to install, front springs are kinda bowed on top of the axle housing, and I still need to finish the backwith some diamond plate, some ammo cans, spare tire carrier, mabe some lights on the top bar.
