You selected four of the best in California. I camped at the Hammers for KOH the last two years. It is fun and exciting to see THE BEST rigs built to date. The Rubicon is where you go to for a good time with old friends and a fun trail. We did Dusy last season, spent three days on the trail and maybe saw six other rigs, and what a beautiful trail. Fordyce is challenging, and scenic. The river crossing is is the worst, (or best) to keep casual wheelers away. I cant decide...Can I do them all again and then decide?

I like to fish and camp.  This year its Blue Lakes with family and friends.  Down the road, there is a trail, where you cross the Carson, and enjoy a Hot spring by the river.

Black rock by ishi Road in paynes creek CA. Free camping, great swimming, bathroom, and tons of off shoot logging roads you can more than get yourself in trouble on. Even a waterfall you can ride like a water slide.

Hmmm, that is a hard one to answer. I love all of the ones you've listed plus one of my favorite places, MOAB!!! I also love more local to me and have several remote areas in San Bernadino National Forest that I/we go to. MOAB's wheeling is the best and the camping is great but you are still in town, so for the overall experience I'd have to say SBNF.

Oh one other place which puts you by Dusy/Ershim and several other trails is Dinky Creek, one of my favorite places to camp at.

little grass valley is sweet!!!!
Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

a few years ago i would have said  Tellico  .  it was great for wheeling camping and fishing .    Moab  is really cool and a fun town to do things in .   but  i like the trees and mountains better  so  now i think fordyce or the rubicon .   But  for fishing alone  i would have to say Diamond lake is the best .

Truth is I don't camp as much as I used to...but, I'd say (other than anywhere away from Arizona) it would have to be in the Smoky Mt Park or the Natchez Trace in Tn.

The Gulches in SC is a fun park. Its about an hour away from me, so I'm there all the time. It is under 80 acres, but there is plenty to do. I realize this is mostly a West Coast forum. I have heard good things about Harlan, KY. I am going to try and get up there soon. After I do, I'll get back to y'all.
