throw out bearing issues

I have a shiny new l-52 from marlin and my throwout bearing will not slide on all the way :(  it goes halfway then hits the inner race. What the hek? I tried to mount up the tranny and it kept stopping becuase of the protruding bearing. 

UPDATE: I dremeled the bearing race a bit, good as new.
