pretty sure it is 8 x 1.25"

i wouldn't kmow about being a trail-gear product, but.... some people install studs instead of bolts to retain their diffs into the housing, and they just use standard nuts and bolts

Stud eliminator, sounds fancy for just getting a bolt and putting it in.  I would just pull a stud and go to the store and buy a bolt, maybe get fancy with an socket head pan. Stainless even  :shocking:

Stainless... Oh :pokinit:. I agree, just double nut it and get yourself some new bolts or allens

Stainless allens would be :bling: just sayin. I might do it to mine!

Yes trail quee makes it but I wont buy it from them. I just want to run Allen bolts and I would pull one stud  and go buy bolts but I don't have any studs. So all I need to know is what size they are.

I'm looking to doing the same and what I've read so far you want 8mm x 1.25pitch x 40mm button head studs

cruzila

I bet those are $30.00 a hundred for the bolts from a hardware wholesaler. Nuts, $15.00 a hundred. $45.00 and you can do yours and 9 friends too.

my buddy built a couple kits from fastenall, very easy and works great, he runs them on his and his wifes trucks, and I have them on mine...

it was stupid cheap too.

Doof

its pretty easy to do. i did this with my toy axles, drilled out the holes to like 3/8th i think it was. cut the dif cover off, tacked the button heads, put the nut on it and massage is with the slug-o so they all line up, bolt the 3rd in with carrier, and some good weld on the button heads to keep them in place. took a few hours when all said and done but it was worth it

...cut the dif cover off...
Are you saying you made a removable access cover like a Dana style axle for instance?

I believe the diff cover was cut off so as to gain better access for tacking the bolt heads and then welded back on. I saw a writeup on Pirate(?) I think. I'm don't know if this is Doof's or not though, just one that I came across.

thought about doing something like that, but given my time frame to get it done i didn't want to deal with it. but i used the plasma to cut the front of the diff off so i could get some good heavy tacks on the allens. after i had all the bolts tacked and straight i welded the cover back on. it looks factory and if you didnt know what i did you would never be able to tell i re-welded it unless you really got down and looked at it. its really simple and if you are going to do the allen's i highly recommend doing this if you have the tools, skills, and common sense  to do it correctly

Sparkplug

thats a pretty sweet mod, im betting its around 20 bucks in hardware though, and then some time, but man, thats beef and IMO looks killer, im gonna give it a try on a housing here soon
