Well, I can say don't tow it from arizona to nor cal like the idiot I bought one of my parts trucks from.  Not that I didn't make my money off that truck, but I coulda got more if he hadn't done that.  I don't think they're terribly weak, depending on what you're gonna use it for, but it's just not that good of a choice with such a week engine.  Plus a lot of guys just plain don't like autos, they wanna have full control of their power delivery.      Nate

It's really not a bad tranny for a DD/light wheeler. There is nothing offered as upgrades (shift kit etc.).  I have known 2 people to have good luck with them, 1 that didn't.

One thing I meant to mention but forgot, it has a married t-case, meaning you can't split tranny and case apart, but if you're not gonna wheel then who cares?     Nate

No upgrades, rob a lot of power, and will get hot under heavy slow wheelin, not able to run any Marlin case.

Upside, if you upgrade cooler and are able to run low enough r&p's it will wheel ok, not great, but ok.

As a daily driver, they are ok, but still rob power, and milage. I had one in an '86 4runner daily driver and I didn't like it. It also had a weird shift to it.
